Raul Fernandez is president and chief executive officer of DXC Technology, the world’s leading independent, end-to-end IT services company, with over 130,000 colleagues servicing nearly 6,000 private and public-sector customers in some 70 countries from a diverse array of industries. He was appointed Interim President and CEO in December 2023 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since August 2020.

Fernandez is an entrepreneur, investor, executive, and board member. He currently is Vice Chairman and co-Owner of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, a private partnership which owns some of Washington, D.C.’s major sports franchises including the NHL’s Washington Capitals, the WNBA’s Washington Mystics and the NBA’s Washington Wizards. The partnership also owns and operates Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C.’s premier sports and entertainment complex, and Monumental Sports Network, the exclusive local television rightsholder for Washington Mystics, Wizards and Capitals games. As a hands-on and active member of the Monumental Sports & Entertainment leadership team, Mr. Fernandez is involved in multiple aspects of the business including global sponsorship, esports, partnerships, and technology innovation and serves as an Alternate Governor for the NBA Board of Governors.

Mr. Fernandez brings more than three decades of executive experience scaling innovative and rapidly growing technology companies. Mr. Fernandez was the founder of Proxicom (NASDAQ: PXCM), which under his leadership evolved into a prominent early global provider of e-commerce solutions for Fortune 500 companies, Mr. Fernandez guided the growth of Proxicom from its launch in 1991 to public listing in 1999. Proxicom was acquired by Dimension Data (LSE: DDT). From 2000 to 2002, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Dimension Data North America, an information systems integration company, and as a Director of its parent company, Dimension Data Holdings Plc, in 2001. He also served as Chairman and CEO for ObjectVideo, a leading developer of intelligent video surveillance software, which was sold to Alarm.com (NASDAQ: ALRM) in 2017. During George W. Bush’s presidency, Mr. Fernandez served as a member of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

Mr. Fernandez currently serves on the Board of Directors Broadcom, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO), a global technology leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions. He is a member of Broadcom’s Audit Committee, which assists management in establishing the company’s policies with respect to risk assessment and enterprise risk management, including any exposures related to data privacy and information technology systems controls and security. Mr. Fernandez is also a member of Broadcom’s Nominating, Environmental, Social and Governance Committee. He previously served on the Board of Directors at GameStop (NYSE: GME), a global, multichannel video game and consumer electronics retailer, from April 2019 to June 2021. During his directorship with GameStop, Mr. Fernandez served on the company’s Audit Committee, which was responsible for, among other things, reviewing the company’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Mr. Fernandez also sits on the Board of Directors of NeuroSync, a neuro health technology company that utilizes artificial intelligence to develop eye-tracking software and analytic technologies to diagnose and treat neurological impairments and brain health conditions, RemoteRetail, a technology and services company that offers enterprise customers a cloudbased marketplace for their hybrid workforces, and URBANEER, an urban innovation company designing and engineering next generation living spaces, is on the Strategic Advisory Board of Volition Capital, a Boston-based growth equity firm, and is a Special Advisor to Carrick Capital Partners, a growth-oriented investment firm. Mr. Fernandez is an active technology investor in disruptive companies, including, among others, Cloud9 eSports, Radius Networks, SUGARFISH, and Professional Fighters League (MMA).

Mr. Fernandez, who was born in Washington, D.C. to immigrant parents from Cuba and from Ecuador, is an active philanthropist, focusing his energy primarily on educational reform in the D.C. region. In 2000, he cofounded Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP) with fellow D.C.-area tech pioneers Mario Morino and Mark Warner, a philanthropic investment organization based in Washington, D.C. Passionate about making college education accessible to Washington, D.C.’s high school students, Mr. Fernandez is also a board member of District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP) and the Fernandez Foundation. Mr. Fernandez holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Maryland, and attended St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C.
