Andrew Beilein is Senior Director of Government Relations at Business Roundtable, responsible for the Roundtable’s outreach to Capitol Hill and the Administration as well as managing advocacy campaigns and coalition building for the association of chief executive officers of leading U.S. companies.
During his time at the Roundtable, Beilein has led successful efforts on several significant issues, most notably reauthorization of Trade Promotion Authority and passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
Prior to joining Business Roundtable in 2014, Beilein worked in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition. While with the Commission, Beilein participated in several successful merger enforcement matters, including a detail with the FTC’s Litigation Group in a trial and victory in FTC, et al. v. St. Luke's Health System, Inc., et al, the first litigated challenge to a hospital system’s acquisition of a physician group. He also spent time in the Government Relations department at The American Enterprise Institute, a think tank based in Washington, D.C.
A native of Western New York, Beilein received his B.A. in Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. He resides in Washington, D.C.
