Matt Moon is Vice President for Advocacy at Business Roundtable and leads the execution of the organization’s issue campaigns through member engagement, advertising, digital strategy, and grassroots/grasstops outreach.
Moon brings broad private-sector expertise, with a history building and executing public affairs campaigns across industries. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President at Delve, a DC-based competitive intelligence firm, where he led client relations and issue management services for political and business clients in the energy, healthcare, and telecommunications industries. Moon also served as a Vice President at Rasky Baerlein | Prism – building crisis communications and advocacy strategies for corporations and industry coalitions – and as Senior Communications Strategist at New Media Strategies – leading digital issue and reputation management campaigns for major trade associations.
Moon also has deep political and policy experience. He was Communications Director for the successful re-election campaign of Governor Rick Scott (R-Fla.) in 2014, coordinating messaging strategy as well as overseeing all press, research, and rapid response efforts. Moon has also served as Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), Deputy Research Director of the Republican National Committee, and Manager of Media Relations at the Tax Foundation.
Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Moon lives in Washington, D.C. and is a graduate of Harvard University, earning both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.
