He got his start in Washington, DC, as a staff member for The C2 Group, a small government affairs consulting firm.
McDonald is a native of Mansfield, Texas, located near Fort Worth. He earned his B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of New Mexico – where he was also a four-year scholarship athlete on the men’s golf team – and his M.A. in Economics from American University.
