Jun 12, 2015

Appearing on CNBC's Squawkbox this morning, Business Roundtable President John Engler cited numerous benefits of enacting Trade Promotion Authority, saying it will enable the Obama Administration to best possible trade agreement for America:

Trade’s a winner. There’s a lot of objectives, and this process lets Congress say to Ambassador Mike Froman and the Administration, hey, these ought to be priorities in this deal. At the end of the day you’re going to have tougher trade rules, you’re going to deal with some of these non-tariff barriers, you’re going to have stronger labor and environmental protections. It’s a multiple win for the American economy.

Interviewing Engler is CNBC's Joe Kernen.
