About BRT
Washington — Business Roundtable released the following statement from Wes Bush, Chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman and Chair of the Business Roundtable Education and Workforce Committee following the U.S. Senate’s passage of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins Act):

“The Senate’s vote to reauthorize and modernize the Perkins Act is an important step forward at a critical time for our nation’s workforce and the U.S. economy. Today, businesses across the country are struggling to find workers with the right skills to fill open jobs. This bipartisan legislation takes meaningful action to address this problem, providing students with education and training pathways to build a new generation of talented, diverse American workers.

“Business Roundtable thanks Chairman Alexander and Ranking Member Murray of the Senate HELP Committee for their leadership, as well as Senators Enzi and Casey. Reauthorizing the Perkins Act is vital to securing a prosperous future for America’s workers and our nation. We urge the House to act swiftly to get this bipartisan legislation to President Trump’s desk.”
