Meredith Casey McPhillips is the Vice President of Marketing for Business Roundtable, the association of chief executive officers of leading U.S. companies. McPhillips leads the organization’s brand and advocacy marketing, advertising, media partnerships, content strategy, website, social media platforms, and events, holistically driving CEO member and priority audience engagement for the association. McPhillips specializes in elevating CEO voices and perspectives through effective, multi-channel storytelling.
McPhillips collaborates with her colleagues, CEO members, company staff and partner teams to execute successful campaigns. McPhillips is a driving force behind Business Roundtable’s high profile announcements and associated campaigns including redefining the purpose of a corporation, expanding economic opportunity for all Americans, responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, advancing racial equity and justice, addressing climate change, bridging the digital divide and other issue advocacy initiatives.
Before joining Business Roundtable, McPhillips was the Senior Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships at Politico, leading the media company’s largest and most complex partnerships encompassing advertising, editorial underwriting, brand content, and events. She was a trusted advisor to Politico’s VIP clients, helping them build branding, thought leadership, and advocacy programs that successfully engaged influencers across multiple platforms. During her five and half year tenure, she personally sourced and closed $35+ Million in revenue.
Prior to Politico, McPhillips was a Managing Supervisor at FleishmanHillard, a leading global marketing communications firm. In that role, she developed integrated campaigns and managed branding, content, and social media strategies as well as earned media for a diverse set of Fortune 100 companies. Earlier in her career, McPhillips honed her digital expertise when leading marketing at NavigationArts, a boutique web consultancy. She launched her career at Starcom MediaVest Group in Chicago.
McPhillips graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with high honors and minor in Communications Studies.
McPhillips is a leader within the Junior League of Washington, having been an active member of the volunteer organization for over 12 years. She chaired the Women’s Leadership Committee and its annual fundraising event from 2018 through 2020. She is also involved with the Washington Area Women’s Foundation. McPhillips and her husband, Rich, reside in Northwest Washington, DC.
