Washington – Today, Business Roundtable issued the following statement on negotiations between Congress and the Administration on the next phase of COVID-19 policy responses:
“Business Roundtable urges congressional leaders and the Administration to come to agreement on the next phase of legislation aimed at addressing the pressing health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Congressional action is needed now to help businesses, especially small and medium-sized companies, stay afloat and to ensure more benefits and direct economic support are available to help affected workers, individuals and families manage this health crisis. Failure to act immediately to respond to this unprecedented crisis will have devastating impacts for American families and their economic futures.”
