Washington – Business Roundtable today released a statement following Senate authorization of additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program and hospitals and health response efforts across the country.
“Today’s Senate authorization of much-needed assistance to small businesses and their employees will provide economic relief and help preserve the liquidity and viability of these businesses – many of whom are suppliers to and customers of our companies. We also welcome the authorization of additional resources for hospitals and increased testing, contact tracing and research,” said Business Roundtable President & CEO Joshua Bolten. “We urge swift House action, and stand ready to continue working with leaders at all levels of government to support actions necessary to deliver the economic security Americans need during and after this health crisis."
