Business Roundtable Announces Amy Shuart to Lead Technology and Innovation Policy

Washington - Business Roundtable today announced the hiring of Amy Shuart as Vice President, Technology and Innovation. Shuart joined the Roundtable on June 12, 2023. She most recently launched the DC office of Onfido, a global digital identity company, where she served as Head of North America Government Affairs.

Amy’s strong private and public sector experience will be of great value to our members as they advance policies to maintain U.S. global innovation leadership,” said Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten.

As Vice President, Technology and Innovation, Shuart will lead the organization’s development and advocacy of policies around key issues such as AI, privacy and cybersecurity. 

For over a decade, she worked for the House Committee on Ways and Means, most recently as the Social Security Subcommittee Staff Director. Prior to her time on the Hill, she was a Presidential Management Fellow at the Social Security Administration and held positions at the Office of Management and Budget and the White House. 

Shuart holds B.A. degrees in Political Science and Public and Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
