Energy and Environment Business Roundtable Statement on Biden Administration’s Rejoining of Paris Agreement

Washington – Business Roundtable Energy and Environment Committee Chair George Oliver, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Johnson Controls, today issued the following statement on behalf of Business Roundtable:

“Business Roundtable strongly supports the U.S. rejoining the international effort to combat climate change and create a healthier, more sustainable future. We look forward to collaborating with the new Administration to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement both internationally and here in the U.S.” 

In September of 2020, Business Roundtable released principles and policies to address climate change, including the use of a market-based strategy that includes a price on carbon where feasible and effective.
