Washington - Business Roundtable today issued the following statement:
“As the Senate debates the American Rescue Plan, Business Roundtable reiterates our support for additional COVID-19 rescue legislation to strengthen the public health response and provide targeted assistance to struggling individuals and small businesses.
“Business Roundtable believes that the package should be more targeted to prioritize immediate public health needs and emergency economic assistance. We are encouraged by Senators’ efforts to sharpen the focus of the legislation on pressing short-term needs. Many of the longer-term spending priorities in the legislation could be considered as part of subsequent legislation along with critical measures like infrastructure investment.”
