Business Roundtable Statement on Export-Import Bank

Washington - Business Roundtable today released the following statement ahead of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs hearing on the five pending Export-Import Bank nominations:

“Business Roundtable cannot support the nomination of Scott Garrett or any Export-Import Bank nominee put forth who does not show support for the mission of the bank and a commitment to get it fully and promptly back to work,” said Joshua Bolten, President & CEO of Business Roundtable. “When completely functioning, which it has not been in over two years, the Export-Import Bank helps businesses of all sizes expand exports of U.S.-made products and supports American jobs at those companies and their U.S. suppliers.”
