Washington - Business Roundtable today issued the following statement on final passage of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021:
“Final passage of the COVID rescue legislation is an important step to getting emergency relief and resources where they are most needed. While we advocated for a more targeted approach, enactment of this package will help deliver urgent resources to strengthen the public health response and provide assistance for individuals and small businesses hardest hit by the pandemic.
“As Congress pivots to crafting recovery legislation, Business Roundtable urges lawmakers to seize on bipartisan agreement on the need to invest in our nation’s physical and broadband infrastructure and worker training. We believe the nation can achieve a stronger and more durable economic recovery with policies that have bipartisan backing.”
