Business Roundtable Statement on House Passage of the American Dream and Promise Act

Washington – Business Roundtable today released the following statement following passage of the American Dream and Promise Act in the U.S. House of Representatives:

“Business Roundtable applauds the U.S. House of Representatives for passing the American Dream and Promise Act, which would provide a permanent and practical solution for those who came to America as children and call America home. Business Roundtable CEOs urge the U.S. Senate to act in a timely manner on legislation that would provide 'Dreamers' conditional permanent resident status. 

“'Dreamers' are integral parts of our businesses and communities, and they deserve a resolution to the uncertainty they face. Democrats and Republicans should continue to work together in a bipartisan manner to fix our broken immigration system, and enactment of the American Dream and Promise Act would be a positive first step in this direction.”
