Washington – Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten today released the following statement after Congress approved legislation to fund the government through September 30, 2023:
“Business Roundtable applauds Congress for passing a bipartisan omnibus package. While we are disappointed that important policies were left out of the spending bill, especially restoration of immediate expensing for research and development investments, we are grateful Congress was able to secure an agreement to fund the government through the rest of the fiscal year. We look forward to working with the next Congress to advance sound, pro-growth policies, including raising the debt limit as soon as possible, maintaining a competitive tax code, reforming and strengthening America’s workforce development system, and promoting rules-based trade and investment.”
