Washington - Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten today issued the following statement on news that the United States and the European Union have agreed in principle on a new EU-U.S. data flows framework.

“Business Roundtable commends President Biden and President von der Leyen’s announcement that the U.S. and EU have reached an agreement in principle to facilitate EU-U.S. data flows. While the details remain to be finalized and reviewed, we are encouraged by today’s announcement, which demonstrates that the U.S. and EU can solve long-standing issues to benefit businesses, workers and citizens across the Atlantic.
