Involve Suppliers, Customers and Vendors
Identify and involve local leaders, vendors and suppliers who will advocate for infrastructure through media engagements, events and grassroots letter-writing campaigns. Please share your list of advocates with Nicole Vasilaros at nvasilaros@brt.org, and Business Roundtable will facilitate engagement and participation.
Identify Supplier Contacts
Experience has shown that suppliers react best when the outreach is done by someone with whom they have a preexisting relationship. In many cases, this would be the purchasing or procurement lead.
Identify Local Company Contacts
Work with local leadership to identify the most appropriate advocates, in terms of number of employees, mix of jobs and communities served.

Sample CEO Email to Suppliers and Vendors
Dear Business Leaders,
You have probably heard a great deal lately about plans to improve America’s infrastructure – our roads, bridges, airports, water systems and communications infrastructure.
As a business leader, you know how important reliable infrastructure is to not only to deliver goods and services, but also to connect with your customers, employees and communities.
America’s infrastructure is falling behind and is in desperate need of an upgrade.
As you are likely aware, a bipartisan group of Members of Congress and President Biden recently agreed on a bipartisan framework for investing in America’s infrastructure. [COMPANY] is strongly supportive of this deal.
[COMPANY] is a part of a CEO organization in Washington, DC, Business Roundtable, which is urging Members of Congress to continue working with their colleagues across the aisle to support bipartisan infrastructure legislation that can be signed into law as soon as possible. [COMPANY] will support these efforts. I encourage you to also get involved and help push this deal across the finish line.
If you would be willing to lend your voice to the conversation, I encourage you to consider authoring an op-ed or participating in a local event. In partnership with Business Roundtable, we are happy to facilitate your participation.
I appreciate your support.
