ICYMI: Business Roundtable Underscores Need for Ever-Ready Workforce at National Skills Coalition Summit
May 24, 2024
During last week’s National Skills Coalition 2024 Skills Summit, Business Roundtable Senior Vice President of Corporate Initiatives Dane Linn participated in a panel discussion focused on skills-based hiring. The conversation explored the shift toward skills-based employment and how the public and private sectors can implement this strategy.
The dialogue also reinforced the need for Congress to pass pending legislation to reform America’s workforce development system. Providing American workers with the necessary skills to succeed is key to building an ever-ready workforce.
Congressional passage of A Stronger Workforce for America Act and bipartisan legislation to expand Pell Grant eligibility would help equip workers with the education and training they need to thrive in a rapidly changing economy.
