Will Anderson leads the Corporate Governance Committee at Business Roundtable, where he oversees advocacy efforts concerning disclosure and other corporate governance matters before Congress and federal agencies.

Mr. Anderson rejoined Business Roundtable in 2024 after serving as Staff Director to the House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Capital Markets. During his tenure as Staff Director, he managed all aspects of capital markets policy, including rigorous oversight of entities such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and self-regulatory organizations such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in shaping the Committee’s capital formation agenda and led its Environmental, Social and Governance Working Group.

Mr. Anderson initially joined Business Roundtable in 2017 as a Director of Policy, where he later advanced to the position of Vice President, Technology and Innovation. In this capacity, he spearheaded policy initiatives on issues such as data privacy, cybersecurity, antitrust and artificial intelligence policy.

Before his roles at Business Roundtable, Mr. Anderson served as a Senior Associate at Patomak Global Partners LLC, where he advised global financial institutions on legislative and regulatory frameworks impacting corporate decision-making, with a focus on corporate governance. His responsibilities included evaluating compliance protocols, particularly in cybersecurity, insider trading controls and board governance policies across both U.S. and UK jurisdictions. Prior to that, he worked as an Advisor to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for Legal Reform.

Anderson holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School. During law school he clerked for the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. He graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
