Washington – Randall L. Stephenson, Chairman and CEO of AT&T Inc. and Chairman-elect of Business Roundtable, today issued the following statement applauding the U.S. House of Representatives for approving the bipartisan Budget Conference agreement that sets overall limits for federal spending through September 2015 and reduces the deficit over the 10-year budget period:
“By approving the bipartisan budget agreement, the U.S. House of Representatives has acted decisively for American workers, families and businesses. America’s business leaders applaud this important vote and urge the Senate to follow suit.
“Breaking through gridlock and getting this agreement across the finish line is a signal to Americans that the nation’s political leaders can work together to find constructive solutions to big challenges.
