Washington - Business Roundtable today announced the hiring of Nasim Fussell as Vice President of Trade and International Policy, effective immediately. Fussell most recently served as Senior Vice President at Lot Sixteen, where she led the firm’s international trade practice.

Her deep expertise in trade policy and her proven leadership on Capitol Hill and in the private sector make her an invaluable addition to our team,” said Joshua Bolten, CEO of Business Roundtable. “Nasim will play a critical role as we work with the Administration to advance policies that level the playing field for U.S. exporters, remove harmful tariffs and provide certainty for U.S. businesses.”
In her role, Fussell will work closely with member CEOs to develop and promote trade and investment policies that support a competitive American economy.
During her time at Lot Sixteen, Fussell advised clients on trade policy and geopolitical risks and developed strategies to navigate complex international trade environments. Prior to this, she was a partner at Holland & Knight LLP, where she was a member of the Public Policy & Regulation and International Trade practices.
Previously, Fussell served as Chief International Trade Counsel for the Senate Finance Committee under Chairman Chuck Grassley and as Deputy Chief International Trade Counsel under Chairman Orrin Hatch. She was also Trade Counsel for the House Ways and Means Committee, working under Chairmen Kevin Brady, Paul Ryan and Dave Camp.
Fussell began her legal career as a law clerk in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of the Chief Counsel for Import Administration. She has also held positions at Pitney Bowes, General Motors and the U.S. Council for International Business.
She holds an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the George Washington University Law School, a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan. She is currently Chair of the Washington International Trade Association Board of Directors.
