Washington – Business Roundtable today released the following statement regarding passage of S. 1976 – the Federal Permitting Reform and Jobs Act – in the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs.

For years, onerous permitting processes and regulations have stood in the way of infrastructure improvements American families and communities need. We thank U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) for his leadership on this bill – which will help unlock investment for and speed development of infrastructure projects while meeting important environmental, safety and other standards – and urge Congress and the Administration to work together to enact it into law.”
