In 2025, Business Roundtable partnered with The Burning Glass Institute to examine how Roundtable member companies support mobility, skills development and long-term career pathways for millions of workers.

The findings:

• Business Roundtable companies pay significantly more than non-Business Roundtable companies across more than 80% of roles.
• Workers are approximately 20% more likely to be promoted from Business Roundtable companies.
• Workers are about 20% more likely to pursue education while working at Business Roundtable companies compared to other large employers.
• Business Roundtable companies spend $73 billion per year on retirement benefits; nearly 20% more per revenue dollar than non-Business Roundtable companies.
• Business Roundtable companies are approximately 80% more likely to have significant veteran workforce representation.
