Energy and Environment Business Roundtable: Restricting LNG Exports Is Bad for Our Environment and Economy

Jan 26, 2024

Washington - Business Roundtable President and COO Kristen Silverberg today released the following statement on the Biden Administration's decision to pause approvals of new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facilities:

“Business Roundtable is disappointed by the Administration’s decision to pause LNG exports. U.S. LNG exports are critical to reducing greenhouse gas emissions globally and facilitating the global clean energy transition. America’s role as a leading exporter of cleaner energy supports thousands of good-paying jobs at home and helps provide energy security for our allies. We urge the Administration to quickly reinstate permitting for LNG exports.”
