Business Roundtable Statement on AI Cybersecurity Executive Order

Washington - Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten today issued the following statement on the Trump Administration’s Promoting Advanced Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Security executive order:

“Business Roundtable welcomes the Trump Administration’s executive order on artificial intelligence and critical infrastructure cybersecurity. With AI capabilities becoming increasingly sophisticated, today’s action represents an important step forward in protecting critical infrastructure — including financial, communications, power and other essential systems — while supporting the safe deployment of advanced models and preserving the ability to innovate. We appreciate the Administration’s engagement with businesses as it developed the executive order and urge continued collaboration with a broad range of industry stakeholders as this work moves forward.”
