Washington – Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten today released the following statement in response to the expiration of Title 42 and the House vote on H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act:
“The end of Title 42 reinforces the pressing need to establish control over our border and fix our legal immigration system. Business Roundtable is hopeful that today’s action in the House, coupled with the Administration’s efforts to deal with the expected influx of border crossings, will spur bipartisan progress on border security improvements and broader immigration reform. Our insufficient border enforcement measures and broken immigration system pose significant challenges to our country and economy, and we urge both sides to begin working together now to solve these problems.”
