Jul 22, 2021

Washington – Business Roundtable President & CEO Joshua Bolten participated in a meeting this afternoon at the White House with President Biden, Vice President Harris, senior Administration officials and key business and labor leaders to discuss their support for the bipartisan infrastructure framework. Following the meeting, Bolten released the statement below:

“America’s business leaders are all in on the bipartisan infrastructure framework, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to generate historic investment in our transportation, water, energy and communications infrastructure. Today’s White House meeting was a great opportunity to offer Business Roundtable’s continued strong support for bipartisan work to fuel long-term economic prosperity and U.S. competitiveness. Business Roundtable will continue to do everything we can to support passing bipartisan legislation that can be signed into law before the August recess.”

Earlier this summer, Business Roundtable launched a multimillion-dollar campaign to support significant bipartisan infrastructure investment. The advocacy campaign features radio, print and digital ads in over 50 media markets across the country. Business Roundtable and CEO members continue to make the case directly to Members of Congress. In addition, the Roundtable earlier this month released BRT TV – Season One, Episode Two: Infrastructure – featuring Bolten and the CEOs of Bechtel, Land O’Lakes and United Airlines on the urgent need for significant infrastructure investment as outlined in the bipartisan framework.
