Washington - Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten released the following statement after the United States and United Kingdom announced a trade deal:
“Business Roundtable applauds President Trump for reaching a trade deal with the United Kingdom that expands market access for U.S. exports. We welcome commitments from both governments to continue working to resolve other trade issues and encourage them to address the United Kingdom’s digital services taxes, which unfairly disadvantage American companies.
“Business Roundtable continues to urge all our top trading partners and the Administration to swiftly negotiate deals that level the playing field for American exporters, remove harmful tariffs and provide certainty for U.S. businesses.”
