Last week, Business Roundtable hosted United for Infrastructure’s 13th annual Infrastructure Week event, “Stronger Infrastructure, Stronger Nation: Innovate, Secure, Compete.” The forum featured conversations with policymakers and business leaders on the importance of investment in transformative infrastructure projects and the policies necessary to complete them, including permitting reform.

During a fireside chat, Brendan Bechtel, Chairman and CEO of Bechtel, and Chair of Business Roundtable’s Smart Regulation Committee, underscored the urgency of permitting reform and continued infrastructure investment to drive U.S. economic competitiveness. Business Roundtable President & COO Kristen Silverberg opened the event by emphasizing the need for continued cooperation among public and private sector stakeholders to advance permitting reforms.
