USMCA Benefits America’s Economy

In the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), the Trump Administration secured important new provisions to protect American jobs, strengthen domestic manufacturing and grow the U.S. economy.

  • 13 million American jobs supported by trade with Canada and Mexico
  • $775 billion invested in the U.S. from Canada and Mexico, a 55% increase from pre-USMCA
  • 50% increase in two-way trade since USMCA, totaling $1.9 trillion in goods and services
  • 25% of total U.S. trade comes from Canada and Mexico, larger than any other trading bloc

As the USMCA review approaches, Business Roundtable encourages all Parties to extend President Trump’s trade deal. Renewing USMCA with targeted revisions to protect American jobs, confront China and preserve duty-free North American trade will help create a manufacturing resurgence in the United States.
