Business Roundtable Applauds Administration’s Decision to Lift Border Restrictions

Washington - Business Roundtable today issued the statement below in response to the opening of U.S. borders to vaccinated travelers:

“Business Roundtable applauds the Administration's decision to lift U.S. border restrictions for fully vaccinated international travelers. Additionally, we support the lifting of travel restrictions across Canadian and Mexican ports of entry for non-essential travelers. 

“The new policy will support the U.S. economy and the jobs that are supported by cross-border travel. Vaccines remain the single most effective way to stop the spread of COVID-19 and safely reconnect family, friends and businesses.” 

Business Roundtable and its members continue to lead and support efforts to educate the public to build vaccine confidence and increase uptake, including through a partnership with leading health, business and communications organizations.
