Business Leaders Respond to King v. Burwell Decision

Washington – Following today’s U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding the Affordable Care Act, Gary Loveman, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Caesars Entertainment Corporation and Chair of the Business Roundtable Committee on Health and Retirement, released the following statement:

“The Supreme Court’s ruling avoids disruption in the health care marketplace. Moving forward, we believe Congress and the Administration should address the problems that still accompany the Affordable Care Act, such as the medical device tax, insurance tax, pharmaceutical tax and the complexity of complying with the regulatory requirements. Business Roundtable will also aggressively pursue regulatory or legislative changes to the 40 percent tax on many employer and government health care plans.”

Companies led by Business Roundtable members provide health care benefits to more than 40 million Americans.
